2018 RAVER GIFT GUIDE

Christmas is fast approaching, and if you are a last minute shopper like me, you are probably already starting to freak out about what to get the people in your life for Christmas. If that wasn't enough, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are going to be the best days for deals this holiday so hopefully many of the items listed here will be on sale and even less then the currently listed prices. I may not be able to help you shop for your grandma, but here is a gift guide for the raver babe in your life (or maybe just some cool gift ideas for yourself).

This guide is mostly focused on gift ideas for the female raver in your life, but fear not, I plan to publish a "for him" guide before the holidays! That being said, gender norms are silly, so if your man is into sequin kimono's, then that is pretty freaking cool. The majority of these items can be found on Dolls Kill unless otherwise specified (mostly because they sell everything and are pretty much the prime destination for rave apparel in the US).

FOR THE FESTIVAL NEWBIE

They may be new to the scene but they are already head over heels for the vibe. Their festival collection may not be complete but with some of these gift ideas you can help get them one step closer to having it all.

When it comes to shopping for your rave newbie, it can be a little difficult, but no gift will be better for them than earplugs. If they don’t have a pair or have been using low quality, cheap, or maybe even disposable pairs, get them these earplugs. They come with a super convenient carrying case and two pairs of earplugs, which is great if they have a tendency to lose things. Though they may seem a little on the expensive side, these plugs maintain the fidelity of the sound while saving the listeners ears from the potential of a lot of damage down the line.

RAINBOW FLASHING LIGHTS CROPPED JACKET $165.00 (J VALENTINE)

It may not be an actual rule, but it probably should be that every raver needs a fur jacket. Bonus points if it lights up like this ridiculously cool one from J Valentine. Don’t let the price tag discourage you, this coat will be a staple in her wardrobe, because no matter if she is dancing the night away in So Cal or chilling at Paradiso, she will probably want to wear a coat at some point. J Valentine makes terrific products, and I cannot recommend them enough. The faux fur is incredibly soft, and the LED lights look amazing when switched on. I would, however, recommend sizing up if you are uncertain about what size category she falls into because these jackets run incredibly small. The S/M fits more like an XS/S, and the M/L feels more like a traditional medium.

FROSTY COSMIC SLIDE HOLOGRAM SNEAKERS $38.00 (DOLLS KILL)

If the rave babe in your life is just starting out, she probably isn't wholly comfortable wearing giant platforms or crazie boots yet, so why not surprise her with a super cool pair of tennis shoes, that will keep her looking amazing without the possibility of rolling an ankle. These holographic sneakers are comfortable and cool, and the neutral coloring means they will go with just about anything she want's to throw on. The price tag isn't too bad either.

If they aren’t committed enough to spend the big bucks on a Camelbak, then a little hydration pack like this is a wonderful gift. This particular pack is holographic with a butterfly mouthpiece (that is just the cutest). It holds two liters of water which is the perfect amount and also features a zip pocket for her to stash her stuff.

This gift is the perfect mix of functionality and style, and the price tag isn’t bad either.

You can never go wrong with a gift card. She loves to groove out to techno beats, and half of her festival closet is made up of black, but even if she doesn’t want to much color in her wardrobe she still has a passion for fashion.

At just under twenty dollars it is an excellent gift for her to add to her festival jewelry collection.

She is going to shimmer and shine in this handmade sequin Kimono available of shop Bglittz’s website. It has an oversized fit and wide sleeves, falling to about knee length. It is sure to be a show stopper at any event she goes to and the most Instagram worthy piece in her closet.

Shop B Glittz also has a wide range of sequin kimonos in all sorts of colors. The iridescent Unicorn EggShell Kimono is also worth checking out. The kimonos are a little bit more on the pricey side, but they are all handmade (yay, for no mass production), which makes this gift even more special.

Though they may be a little on the pricey side, there is nothing as showstopping as these amazing butterfly books from club exx. They are guaranteed to be unlike anything she has because they are truly a one of a kind gift. The holographic butterfly wings sparkly in the lights, and comfortable combat boots themselves are going to be great on uneven festival grounds.

FOR THE BURNER BADASS

This babe is a badass through and through. She likes her boots chunky and her leather patent. She is all about fashion but won’t compromise on practicality.

These boots are perfect for your burner babe with a badass side. They have amazing metal hardware, a ton of badass buckles, and the patent leather finish makes them the coolest boots you are going to find out there. Another reason to add them to your list is that they have even platforms (no heel), making them incredibly comfortable for those long days wandering around the desert. The shoes will give her a 3.5-inch lift, so all of the extra height without being so high that she feels like she’s on stilts.

Shimmy Shimmy Holographic Silver Bodysuit $109.59 (EASY TIGER)

I cannot sing the praises of Easy Tiger’s bodysuits. They are handmade and absolutely gorgeous. If you really want to get her something special, nothing is going to beat one of these fantastic pieces. The holographic silver bodysuit is just one of many amazing pieces you will find on their site, but it is one of the most spectacular. The sequins catch the light in the most amazing way, making it perfect for the girl who wants to stand out in a crowd. The silver also makes it a versatile piece because it can be easily transformed with other colored pieces. All in all, you cannot go wrong with this bodysuit.

RADIOACTIVE AVIATOR GOGGLES $20

These goggles are going to be perfect for keeping the playa dust out of her eyes. They are completely black with some punk-inspired stud detailing to set them apart from some of the other ones available online. They are also a steal at only 20 dollars.

This badass, vegan leather bag will give her a place to drop all of her stuff without needing to worry about having a backpack. The snakeskin stamping gives the bag an exotic look without the animal cruelty. The bag is also available in other colors, but the black is definitely a show stopper. Now on sale for just under thirty dollars it is a reasonably priced accessory that will take her outfits to the next level while still have a practical use.

She is all about color. She is always a ball of neon sunshine that you can spot across an entire crowd of people dressed in black.

These ankle cut platform boots have an extraterrestrial vibe, and if that wasn’t enough, they glow in the dark. They are perfect for someone who doesn’t want to commit to the hyper-intense look of a knee-high boot but still wants to add something a little unusual to their collection. They are a bit pricey, but who cares, they’re totally worth it.

When giving a gift to a raver, you can never go wrong with a fan, and this one is probably one of the cutest ones you’ll find anywhere. The sequin detailing is amazing, and the cute little flowers are delicate and still colorful. The price tag isn’t bad either. A fan is also the perfect accessory for any raver because it always a good idea to have one, so you really can’t go wrong with this.
